About The Friends of Valley View Park
Friends of Valley View Park was established to partner with Dallas Parks and Recreation to promote awareness, advocate for the park, raise funds, and lead beautification efforts to enhance and preserve Valley View Park. Our volunteers help maintain the trails through the woods and improve areas throughout the park. We work in partnership with Valley View Neighborhood Association (VVNA) and welcome anyone with a passion for parks, green spaces, and community to get involved. Our group is free to join and is a great way to meet neighbors, make a positive impact, and enjoy the natural beauty of our community. Friends of Valley View Park operates under the 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship of Friends of The Loop Dallas.
Our Partners

Dallas Park and Recreation Department
We are grateful for our partnership with the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, whose support has been instrumental in the care and transformation of Valley View Park. Their team has cut trails through underutilized wooded areas and converted overlooked spaces into beautiful, mulched, walkable trails for hikers, birdwatchers, and cyclists—helping activate the woods and bring the community together. In addition, Dallas Parks and Recreation designed and built the kiosk at the entrance to the Woods of Valley View Park and installed clear entrance signage, making the trail system more welcoming, accessible, and easy to navigate.

Valley View Neighborhood Association
The Valley View Neighborhood Association (VVNA) is a vital partner in supporting and strengthening Valley View Park. VVNA has helped fund entrance signage for the Woods of Valley View Park, supported tree plantings, and hosted biannual Park Days that bring neighbors together. Their commitment to community engagement and neighborhood pride helps ensure the park remains a welcoming, safe, well-loved space for all.
